What to expect

The Santiago Bernabéu has been Real Madrid's home since it opened in December 1947 on Paseo de la Castellana. It has been enlarged and rebuilt several times, most recently in a major renovation that ran from 2019 and reopened in late 2023, and it now holds more than 80,000 spectators. The stadium has its own metro station on Line 10.

The Tour Bernabéu has run since 1999 and takes you inside the stadium: the trophy rooms, pitch-side views and the area where the players prepare. It is indoors and outdoors and mostly on foot with stairs and lifts, and is popular with families and football fans of any club. Plan about 90 minutes, longer if you linger in the club museum.
